Orion Innovations Private Company (ORION)

ORION Innovations P.C. is a start-up company specializing in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), based in Athens, Greece. The company was established recently by former researchers pursuing the application of their research expertise and innovations in the industrial arena. ORION provides customizable solutions that enhance modern communications, multimedia transmission over media delivery networks, and provide video analytics for surveillance systems.

Additionally, ORION also offers management solutions for Cloud infrastructures, advanced in-cloud networking schemes and cloud services and applications. Main focus areas are: Cloud Computing, Network Virtualisation, Remote Sensing Apps, Open Programmable Networks, Emergency Communications and QoS/QoE provisioning.

  • Innovation co-manager
  • Evolving and exploiting their Virtual Deep Packet Inspector (VDPI) software in the project environment
  • Integrating the software modules developed in the project in a working prototype
  • Contribution on the fulfillment of the dissemination and exploitation plans
